Virginia Lee Nelke

Virginia Lee Nelke, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dairy princess, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025,surrounded by her family. Virginia was a woman of many passions, known for her love of gardening, her skillful sewing, culinary delights, and her insatiable appetite for reading (no one had a better vocabulary than Virginia!)

Born with a kind heart and a creative spirit, Virginia touched the lives of those around her with patience and support. She leaves behind her children: Velvet Fuller, Joseph Shinn, and Kiersten Roberg. Her granddaughters, Madeline and Kalleigh, were the lights of her life, bringing her immense joy and pride. Her siblings will miss her: Paula Locker, Joella Olson, Don Nelke, Larry Nelke, and Linda Hoxsie. Siblings Robert Joseph Nelke and Gary Edward Nelke pre-deceased her.

Virginia's memory will forever be treasured by her family and friends, who will continue to think of her happily working in the garden. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her. A private memorial service will be held to honor her life and legacy.
