Terry Lee Jones

Terry Lee Jones, 71, of Albany, OR, passed away at OHSU after bravely battling cancer.

He was born in Waco, TX, to Teddy Ray Jones and Betty Jo Jones. Due to his father’s military service, Terry moved through several states before his family eventually settled in Riverside, CA. He graduated from North High School in 1972 and accepted a full scholarship to the University of New Mexico, where he played as a linebacker. He left school early to join the workforce, accepting a job with Pacific Bell, where he met his wife, Diane, in 1974. The two were married on October 4, 1975, and together they raised three sons: Jason, Joey, and Jesse.

Terry ended his career as a CNA at the Oregon Veterans’ Home in Lebanon, OR, and retired at the end of 2019.

Terry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is remembered for his warm heart, easy smile, and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He was a diehard sports fan and a proud supporter of the Oregon State Beavers. Whether spending time with family or lending a helping hand to others, Terry made a lasting impression on everyone he met.
