Ruth Arlene Miklaucic passed away to be with the Lord on July 29th, 2025 at her home in Salem, Oregon. Ruth was born on November 6, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri to Dorothy Lucille Bowman and Russell Walrath. She was raised in California and graduated from the Brethren Christian High School in California in 1967.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Kenneth Wayne Miklaucic, their daughter, Kimberly Miklaucic-Herrera, and son, Scott Miklaucic from Salem.
She is survived by her daughter Holley Trollinger (Mark), eight grandchildren, Tiana, Tabatha, Mateo, Andrea, Rebecca, Rachel, Rylee and Ranae; and great grandchildren Kimberly, Daniel and David. She is also survived by her sisters, Dotti Porter, Nancy Campbell, Brothers Brad Smith (BEV) and Lee Hymen (Mary), brother in law, Michael Miklaucic and close friends: Anne Chapman and family, Hans and Karin Reith, Coleen and Albert Elser, Larry and Robin Tucker, Al and Arcena Tucchini, Judy Johnsen and many more who were blessed to know and love her.
Ruthie attended beauty school after graduating high school. She enjoyed being a beautician for many years at the Magic Mirror Beauty Salon in Downey, California.
After the birth of her daughter, Kimberly, she became a stay at home mom. Later in life, Ruth and Kenney became foster parents for the children in Salem. Foster care was close to Ruthie's heart as she was raised in foster care. Ruth was a devoted member of Salem Heights Church and an advocate for The Most Excellent Way.
Ruth will be best remembered for her generous heart, her love of all people and animals, known to many as mom and grandma, the most gentle soul and wonderful friend to so many. She loved playing cards and having dinner with friends ever Friday night, bingo at the coast, crocheting baby blankets for the little ones that came into her life, coloring and celebrating life's biggest moments with all the people she loved.
Services are to be held at the Salem Heights Church on Saturday September 13, 2025 in Salem Oregon at 1 P.M..
Donations in place of flowers may be made in her memory to "The March Of Dimes" and/or "The Union Gospel Mission".
