Ronald Alvin Sheppard

Mr. Ronald "Ron" Sheppard Sr., 79, passed away on November 7, 2025, in Keizer, Oregon. Born on May 11, 1946, in Portland, Oregon, and lived in Portland, Vernonia, Hillsboro and Keizer. Ron lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a strong work ethic.

Ron proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, embodying the values of honor and commitment that would guide him throughout his life. After his military service, he built a career as a truck driver—a profession that suited his independent spirit and provided for those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlaine Sheppard. Together they shared many years of marriage and built a family that continues to carry forward their legacy.

Ron is survived by his children: daughters Cheri Compton and Richelle Hall, and son Ron Sheppard Jr. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren who will remember him with love and respect.

A private family service will be held to honor Ron’s life and be placed with his beloved wife at their final resting place at Valley Memorial Park in Hillsboro, Oregon.
