Maureen Andrea MacDonald

In 2013, Maureen MacDonald moved from Trinity, Texas to Salem, Oregon. Friendships were an essential part of her life and she was active at the South Salem Senior Center. Maureen had several careers (phone switchboard operator, pay phone coin collector, rural mail carrier). She had a remarkable ability to tell stories, in a southern drawl, about her life as well as the lives of others. Generous, warm, and a raconteur, Maureen will be fondly remembered with a smile. Her husband, Carl MacDonald, parents, Maggie and Lester Parker, and younger brother, Roy Parker, are deceased. She is survived by her nephews, Wayne Parker of Keizer, Oregon and Jared Parker of Houston, Texas.
