Linda June Williams, born in Los Angeles, California on March 16,1938, passed away on May 12, 2026, surrounded by family in her Keizer, Oregon home. The oldest of three children, she was just slightly older than her baby brothers, Melvin (Mel) and Thomas (Tommy).
After growing up in the Southern California sunshine as a spunky free spirit, Linda married Francis (Frank) Steiner in 1956. They began their family the following year, having sons Danni (1957), Dennis (1958), D’Lee (1962), and Dwayne (1964) and daughters Juverna (1959) and Janine (1968).
From these children, she was blessed with 20 grandchildren: Alleasha, Amberly, Audrey, Barbara, Caroll, Charity, Emmalea, Irene, Jessica, Jewelyanna, Jonathan, Joshua, Krista, Linda, Madelyn, Mandee, Michael, Rebecka, Robert, and Timothy. From her grandchildren she was further blessed with 27 great grandchildren: Abbagale, Aden, Alizabeth, Amellia, Bodie, Delilah, Donald, Elena, Gavin, Hope, Ian, Isabella, Izabella, Jacob, Jaxon, Jeff, Jonathan, Josaphenna, Karlee, Korbin, Liam, Lochland, Maisie, Mike, Ronaldo, Rylee, and Willow.
Linda’s children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the joys of her life. The importance of family was a core value for her, as she would go out of her way to help family, whether they were related by blood or kinship. Linda would give until she had no more, even if it meant that she would go without. Linda had a servant’s heart and was happiest when she was sharing with others.
Linda was kindred spirits with her good friends Dorothy, Virginia, and Elizabeth. She held precious the friendships she had with her sisters in Christ in the Salem 1st Ward.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, granddaughters Mandee and Charity, and great grandsons Jeff and Mike.
She is survived by her children Danni (Martha), Dennis, D’Lee (Heidi), Dwayne (Kim), Juverna, and Janine (Charles). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
