Lina Zharkoff-Bossen

There are some people whose presence makes the world a little brighter simply because they are in it. Lina Zharkoff-Bossen was one of those rare souls. She lived with a joyful heart, an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, and a love for others that knew no bounds.

Lina was born on June 13, 1977, in Gervais, Oregon, to Phillip and Anastasia Zharkoff. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, compassionate heart, and remarkable ability to make others feel seen, valued, and loved. She had a way of turning ordinary moments into cherished memories and believed life was meant to be lived with faith, gratitude, laughter, and generosity.

Those who knew Lina knew she never met a little sparkle she didn't love. Her signature oversized sunglasses and love of a little bling became part of her unmistakable style. She loved listening to Christian music, taking road trips with Sean, playing softball, shopping, which was one of her favorite pastimes, and celebrating the holidays with family and friends. She also loved spending time with her beloved cats, Jilly and Eevee. Above all, she treasured creating lasting memories with her daughters, family, and the people she loved.

Lina found the love of her life in Sean Bossen. Together they shared a life rooted in faith, friendship, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Her greatest joy was being a mother to her beloved daughters, Nikka Hook and Ashley Bossen. She cherished every moment they shared, celebrated every milestone, and nothing brought Lina greater happiness than the people she loved most.

Her Christian faith was the foundation of her life. She found joy in worship music, drew strength from her relationship with Jesus Christ, and lived her faith with grace, compassion, and love. Whether celebrating life's blessings or walking through life's challenges, she trusted God wholeheartedly.

Through her own recovery journey, Lina became a source of hope to many. She shared her faith, compassion, and encouragement with those seeking recovery, believing no one should have to walk the journey alone.

Lina leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, compassion, and hope. She is survived by her beloved husband, Sean Bossen; her daughters, Nikka Hook and Ashley Bossen; her mother, Anastasia Zharkoff; her siblings, Carol, Greg, Trout, Kapa, Leo, and Mary; along with four precious nieces, thirteen nephews, five great-nieces, and five great-nephews, cherished friends, and all whose lives were made brighter by knowing her. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Zharkoff, and her sister, Angie.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home, 134 Missouri Ave. S, Salem, OR 97302.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Dayspring Fellowship, 1755 Lockhaven Dr. NE, Keizer, OR 97303.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial gifts to help with funeral expenses. Those wishing to contribute are invited to contact the family for donation information.
