DeeAnn Louise Gascon

DeeAnn Gascon, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 5, 2026, in Salem, Oregon.

Born and raised in Oregon, DeeAnn grew up with a deep love for the outdoors and the people around her. She met the love of her life, Fred, at a roller‑skating rink, and the two married in 1963. Together they built a beautiful life, welcoming their daughter Lisa and son Mike soon after.

Most weekends, the Gascon family could be found exploring Oregon—motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, or camping in the places they loved most. DeeAnn cherished these adventures and the memories they created.

DeeAnn worked for the State of Oregon in Health and Human Services for many years, dedicating herself to helping others until fibromyalgia made it too difficult to continue. Even then, she remained resilient, finding joy in the things she loved.

She enjoyed crafting, watching her favorite TV shows, spending time with her family, visiting the casino, geocaching and traveling whenever she could. DeeAnn’s warmth, humor, and kindness touched everyone who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
