Darryl Wayne Haverland

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darryl Haverland, who died peacefully on June 6, 2025 at the age of 69. A man of deep faith, unwavering kindness, and unmatched generosity, Darryl left this world having touched countless lives through his warmth, hard work, and compassion.

Darryl was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Cheray, and a proud father to his two sons, Brandon and Josh. He was also a deeply loved grandfather to six grandchildren, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy. His family was the center of his world, and he poured his love into every moment spent with them.

A skilled contractor and craftsman, Darryl was known for his ability to work with his hands—building, fixing, and creating with care and precision. But more than his trade, it was his *heart* that made the greatest impact. Darryl was selfless with his time, always the first to lend a hand, or sit and listen when someone needed to talk. His attentiveness and thoughtfulness made everyone feel seen and valued.

Darryl had a rare gift for friendship. Whether you'd known him for years or just met him in passing, he had a way of making you feel like an old friend. His love for Jesus was evident in the way he lived—simply, faithfully, and generously. He walked his faith every day, embodying grace, humility, and a servant's heart.

Darryl's legacy is one of love, service, and steadfast devotion to the people he cherished. Though he is no longer with us, the kindness he showed and the lives he enriched will carry on.

A celebration of Darryl’s life will be held on June 27th at his home 9402 Roseland Way. We will gather for food and refreshments. Come anytime between 1 and 4PM. We will have a short service at 2:00. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Darryl’s memory—just as he would have done.

He will be missed deeply, remembered always, and loved forever.
