Cory Thompson

Cory Scott Thompson, age 55, passed away in a tragic ocean fishing accident Friday, December 17th, 2021. He was born March 8th, 1966, in Salem, Oregon, to Willis and Clydene Thompson. He graduated from McNary High School in Keizer, Oregon, class of 1984. Cory worked as a manager at Key Event Services. Outside of fishing and camping, he loved sitting with family cracking jokes around the fire in the backyard. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He spent his whole life fishing. He lived and breathed fishing. To the point that in his last few minutes, he was looking on the fish finder, hoping to see some. He is survived by his sister, Laura, brother Todd, daughters Jennifer and Maggie, sons Nichalas and Conner, and his many nieces, nephews, and granddaughters.
