Brian Dean Smith

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Dean Smith on July 8, 2026, at the age of 68.

Brian was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, caring son and brother, loyal friend, and trusted computer technician. He had a remarkable gift for solving problems and an unwavering willingness to help others. Whether repairing a computer, troubleshooting a difficult issue, or patiently guiding someone through unfamiliar technology, Brian approached every challenge with knowledge, kindness, and integrity. His clients became friends, and his friends knew they could always count on him.

Outside of work, Brian loved technology, gadgets, and flashlights. He was endlessly curious about how things worked and enjoyed discovering the latest innovations. He found joy in learning, tinkering, and sharing what he knew with those around him. 

Above all else, Brian loved his family. He was steady, dependable, generous, and quietly thoughtful. He touched countless lives through simple acts of kindness, his calm presence, and his willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. Those who knew him will remember not only what he could fix, but how he made people feel—valued, supported, and cared for.

Brian is survived by his loving wife, Dee; his children, Monique and Preston; his cherished grandchildren, Chance and Oliver; his mother, Eva; his brother, Max; and many other relatives and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Keizer Elks Lodge, 4250 Cherry Avenue NE, Keizer, Oregon 97303. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather to celebrate his life, share memories, and honor the legacy of a man who gave so much of himself to others.

Brian often found comfort in the words of Ecclesiastes 3:1:

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

As difficult as this season is, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to share with him. His love, kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength will remain with us always.

Though Brian's work here is complete, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
