Brent Alexis Heit

November 7, 1954 — June 3, 2026

Salem

It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of Brent A. Heit, who left this world to join Jesus in his heavenly home on June 3, 2026. Brent passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Brent was born on November 7, 1954 in Denver, Colorado to the late Joseph James Heit and the late Lucia Ceferina Heit.

He grew up in Denver with eight brothers and sisters, and he became a lifelong Denver Broncos football fan. At one point, even owning season tickets in which he enjoyed all the home games.

In 1982, Brent met his future wife, Jody Mulholland, and they dated for six years and then married in 1988. Together they raised two sons, Austin Heit and Trevin Heit. The boys were the lights of his life, his pride and joys. The family loved to go on camping and hiking adventures as well as visiting museums and National Parks. Riding on crazy roller coasters at theme parks was a family favorite.

When grandchildren came into the family, everything in life was all about them. Brent became Papa, and when the boys, Danzig, Zayden and Greyson were old enough, he became their football coach. He loved watching them play and grow in the games of flag football and 7 on 7 touch football. His one granddaughter, Deyzia, was his baby girl. He made sure she had all the girly toys and things because, after all, she was outnumbered by boys.

Brent is survived by his wife, Jody, and sons, Austin and Trevin. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Danzig, Deyzia, Zayden and Greyson. In addition, his sister, Beverly Ruble (David), sister, Debbie Muender, brother, Joe Heit, sister-in-law, Sara, twin sisters, Margaret Mireles (Aurelio) and Lynn Gonzales, and sister Carol Jordan (Bob), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Brent will join in heaven, his father, Joseph J. Heit, and his mother, Lucia C. Heit. As well as brothers, Richard and Donald Heit, and brother-in-law, Douglas Mulholland and father-in-law, Marvin Mulholland.
