Ben was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend whose life was defined by love, loyalty, and service.
Above all, Ben was most proud of being a father. He was a loving provider and protector who worked hard to give his family stability, safety, and laughter. He believed strongly in teaching the kids to be kind, respectful, and to grow into good people—and he led by example every day.
As a husband, Ben’s love for Jessica was unmistakable. He showed up fully, loved deeply, and never missed a chance to remind her how beautiful, wonderful, and cherished she was. Their connection was constant—from sweet notes to kisses in passing—much to the amusement of the kids. Ben was happiest by Jessica’s side.
Ben also shared a close and meaningful bond with his mother, Judy. Their relationship was rooted in love, respect, and deep appreciation, and she remained an important and cherished presence in his life. The connection they shared helped shape the man Ben became and the values he carried forward.
Ben served his country with honor for decades, rising through the ranks and leading with integrity. His military career reflected his commitment to duty, his care for those he led, and his belief in service greater than self.
He loved time with family, quiet nights in at home, and outdoor adventures. He took pride in being in charge of the campfire on family camping trips, cherished moments with the kids, and fondly carried the love of his “soul dog,” Kakoa, in his heart.
Ben was fiercely loyal—especially to the Dallas Cowboys—who tested his patience regularly but never his devotion. And while many things could be forgiven, Ben had little tolerance for rudeness; he believed in decency and doing right by others.
Ben will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his service, and most of all, his love. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
